Kelvin Tyson McCann

Bureau - Kelvin "Tyson" McCann, known as Tyson, 55, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at his home. He was born to Barbara (Henry) and Willard McCann in Peoria, IL on December 11, 1966. Tyson worked as an Iron Worker for the union and married Tonya Senders. They had five children together; Tyler Senders (deceased), Brendan Senders, Michael McCann, Nathan McCann and Alexandra "Aly" McCann, all of Bureau, IL. Four granddaughters; Hayden, McKenzie, Macie and Lilyann. Siblings, Elaine Bishop of Bay View Gardner, IL, Karen (Richard) Erwin of Spring Valley, IL, Michael McCann of Middleton, TN, Roger (Candy) McCann, Spring Bay, IL, Regina Short, Tiskilwa, IL, Tim McCann of Aberdeen, OH, Tonya (Martin) Henry of Aberdeen, OH, Vicki Doucette of Bureau, IL; mother-in-law, Linda Detwiler of Bureau, IL, Sister-in-law, Tara Trebar of Bureau, Brother-in-law Tim Senders of Spring Valley, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents Willard and Nancy McCann, Gene and Barbara Michael, one son, Tyler Senders, Brother-i-law Tom Sender, sister Dianne Willis and siblings, Gary Michael and Judy Moss. Our favorite things about Tyson were his huge heart, how he would do anything for anyone. He was very witty and funny and could tell amazing stories, his smile and laugh were contagious. He loved going fishing and was very outdoorsy, even preserving his own antlers. He loved cooking and was quite good at it. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop and the daily visits from friends and family who would stop by to check on him, say hello or hear a story. He always told his family he loved them and was not ashamed of being proud of that. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family. A visitation for Tyson will be held at the First Congregational Church of Bureau on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (101 W. Nebraska St, Bureau, IL). Services for Tyson to follow visitation on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Bonnie Micheletti of the First Congregational Church of Bureau, IL Cremation rites accorded. a private burial to be held at a later date and time.
