Linda S Jeffery

Wyanet - Linda S. Jeffery, 75, passed away at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 29, 1949, in Manlius, IL, she was the daughter of the late Leland Ramon Herrick and Dorothy Ellen (Traynor) Herrick. Linda pursued higher education at Judson University, where she earned her Associate's degree in 1969. She later married the love of her life, Eugene Jeffery, on July 15, 1989, at their home. Throughout her career, Linda dedicated herself to helping others. She worked as an administrator at Roosevelt Square and later as a counselor at Quad County Counseling Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Princeton and served as a Sunday school teacher, where she nurtured young minds and shared her faith. Linda had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly camping, and cherished the many adventures she shared with Eugene. Her life was filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. She also enjoyed spending time with her close friends, often gathering for Sunday Fun Day. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her life. Linda's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survived by her husband of 35 years, Eugene Jeffery of Wyanet, IL; children, daughter Jennifer (Darrell Brilt) Hansen of Galva, IL and son Joe Hansen of Princeton, IL; twelve grandchildren, Brandy Balensiefen, Bailey Taylor, Parker Taylor and Brooklyn Taylor, Gabby Britt and Zoey Britt, Jakob Ebner and Kylie Ebner, Kaegan Hansen, Cayden Hansen, Kinzley Hansen and Haisley Hansen; one great grandson Castyn Hill; as well as many extended family members. Preceded in death by her parents Leland and Dorothy Herrick one sister Sharon Fitzgerald and a niece Patti Ince. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wyanet Rescue. A Visitation will be held on Sunday February 9, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments. Services to be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Elder Joe Bates at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments. Graveside services to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Wyanet, IL with words of comfort offered by Elder Joe Bates.
