Lucile B Munson

Princeton - Lucile Mae Brigham Munson 84 passed away surrounded by her family at home on May 22, 2020. She was born the oldest child of Dexter Bryant Brigham and Blanche Mae (Dean) Brigham at home in Princeton, IL on October 28, 1935. She is survived by her siblings, Patricia (Merle) Polson and Dexter Dean (Bethany) Brigham. As an adult, she gained a loving stepsister, Virginia Morris. Lucile was cherished by her husband of 64 years, Roger W. Munson. She was Mom to her four children, Mark R. (Katherine) Munson, Paul W. (Kristy) Munson, Joel (Chi Hedgecock) Munson and Mary Lucile (Don) Wooden. Aunt Lucile will be missed by her nieces and nephew, Gayle Little, Sharon Dyer, Jennifer Jaques and Dexter James Brigham. Grandma Munson leaves behind her grandchildren Mark B. (Michele) Munson, Matthew Munson, Kathryn (Jonathan) Crawford, Kyle Munson, Meghan (James) Wade, Dallas (Jamie) Munson, Ashleigh Munson, Andrew Munson, Amber (Jeremy Monier) Biddix and Joshua Wooden. Great grandchildren and cherished others include: Lydia, Sammy, Anthony, Jadyn, Ava, Jaxson, Teegan, Kinley, Claire, Millie, Nora Lucile, Braydyn, Payton and twin boys to be born soon. Lucile was raised and married in Hampshire Colony Congregational United Church of Christ. She was a trained (CAML) lay leader. Her church family in recent years was First Lutheran Church in Princeton. As a child, Lucile attended Kitterman Grade School in Tiskilwa, Linaberry Grade School and graduated first in her class of 1953 from Bureau Township High School. She attended Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL for two years. For many years she was a dedicated member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons, Mark B. Munson, Matthew Munson, Kyle Munson, Dallas Munson, Andrew Munson and Joshua Wooden. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to charities designated by the family. Memorials and online condolences may be left at www.norbergfh.com. A Celebration of Life and reception will be held at First Lutheran Church in Princeton at a later date.
