Mary Ann Hubbard

Peoria - Mary Ann Hubbard of Princeton, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at OSF St. Francis in Peoria, IL surrounded by her loving family. Mary Ann was born on November 23, 1933 in Toulon, IL to the late Pearl and Bessie (Dixon) Abrams. She was a graduate of Manlius High School, Class of 1950. That same year she married Roger Harvey Hubbard on June 20, 1950 in Pittsfield, IL. and was happily married until his passing on April 28, 2018. She spent her time helping Roger with the farm and taking care of the kids. She was a pastor's wife as well as a carpenter's wife and there was always a need for an assistant in both areas of work. She gladly assisted Roger with projects around the farm as well as helping him with functions and activities at the church, including serving as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Mary Ann was an excellent cook and she really enjoyed making delicious dishes for her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts as well as gardening. She was a counselor at Kids Klub Camp and a Prayer Warrior. She taught Bible School and dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was survived by her four children; Linda Ann (Dan) Baxter of Mendota, IL., Daniel Bruce (Dee) Hubbard of Morehead, KY., Donald Warren (Debra) Hubbard of Princeton, IL., and Craig Marc (Amy) Hubbard of Yukon, OK; Thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister Phyllis Haney of Bloomington, IL, her step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will deeply be missed by her family and friends. Preceding her in death is her husband, Roger Hubbard, her parents, Pearl and Bessie Abrams, one sister Margaret Hamm, Grandson Tyler Hubbard, and two great grandchildren, Poppy Baxter and Jonah Wallace. Visitation for Mary will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Norberg Memorial Home Inc. and Monuments. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on May 5, 2023 at Norberg Memorial Home Inc. and Monuments. Officiated by Pastor Rene Noble, with soloist Jeff and Karen Barker. Graveside services to follow at the Malden Cemetery, Malden, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Kids Klub in Malden, IL.
