Princeton - Michael "Mike" Francis Kuhn, 76, of Princeton, IL passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, in Fairfield, IL.Born on June 17, 1949, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton to Charles "Buck" andArvilla "Tillie" (Pierson) Kuhn. Mike graduated from Princeton High School, Class of 1967. He was drafted into the U.S. Army on March 3, 1970. He studied at Fort Campbell, KY and Fort Lewis, Washington where he trained as a radio mechanic and repairman. He also served in Korea, where he was honorably discharged as an E-4. In recent years, he was awarded a Quilt of Valor and was privileged to fly on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C.He was an over-the-road "professional" truck driver for various companies over his 40-yearcareer, retiring from Kory Equipment. In his lifetime, he visited 46 states. There were MANYtimes over the years where family and friends would call Mike to ask for directions whenlost, for the best food stops, hotels, and routes for various locations. Mike was alwayshappy to tell you what exit number to take, Waffle House to stop at, and which landmark toturn by. Mike was also a passionate John Force fan and followed his career throughout hislifetime. If it had a motor, Mike enjoyed it. In his retirement, Mike enjoyed driving for dealertrades for Prescott Brothers.He is survived by his son, Derek Kuhn of Wyanet, IL; his siblings Jeff (Linda) Kuhn of Morris,IL, Gerri (Mark) Frank of Princeton, IL, and Tim (Sandy) Kuhn of Princeton, IL. Also survivedby his nieces and nephews Cory (Libby) Scott, Josh (Amber) Kuhn, Matt (Erica) Kuhn, Tara(Justin) Brown, Dani (lan) Foffel, and Jaime (Taze Cuellar) Kuhn; and great-nieces and great-nephews Asher and Elliot Scott, Kaden Davis, Miles, Casey, and Cameron Kuhn, Brook andRoland Brown, Lane, Rylan and Hallie Foffel, and Charlotte Cuellar.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and numerous aunts and uncles.Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
