Steven L. McCall

Princeton - Steven L. McCall, Age 75, of Princeton, IL passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at OSF St. Francis, Peoria, on Monday, June 24, 2024. Steven was born in Princeton, IL on December 23, 1948 to Raymond and Laura (Zimmerman) McCall. He graduated from LaMoille High School Class of 1967. After graduation, he served in the National Guard, including the Chicago Riots of 1968. On March 30, 1968, he married the love of his life, Judy Schultz and they shared over 56 years of marriage together. Steven worked in agriculture most of his life, including Cargill for 21 years. He also owned and operated McCall's Feed Store for 7 years. Farming was his dream and passion and he was lucky enough to operate his own farm and work for others on their farms as well. He always enjoyed his time on the tractor. He was a devoted father of two who enjoyed spending time with his family. He treasured spending time with his grandchildren and bringing a smile and laughter to their faces. He had a love of animals including spending time with his horses and his dogs over the years. Above all, he followed his faith in the Lord. Steven is survived by his wife Judy McCall of Princeton, IL; daughter Michelle (Greg) Rowley of Wesley Chapel, FL and son Michael (Susie) McCall of Princeton; five grandchildren, Paige (Nick) Dyskstra of Princeton, IL. Jordan McCall of Normal, IL. Bradley McCall of Princeton, IL., Sarah (Dino) Petrin of Elk Grove Village, IL and Trevor (Renee) Rowley of Meridian, ID. He is also survived by two great grandchildren Rhett and Myles, one sister Lynn Hoffman of Princeton, IL., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Laura McCall and one brother, Donald McCall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. A visitation for Steven will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Norberg Memorial Home Inc. & Monuments. Funeral Services, Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Norberg Memorial Home Inc. & Monuments. Officiated by Pastor Eldon Cook. Graveside services will follow at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton, IL, with words of comfort given by Pastor Cook. Military Rites Accorded.
