Troy Allen Lauritzen

Princeton - Troy Allen Lauritzen, 48, of Princeton, IL passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at OSF St. Clare. Troy, born and raised in Princeton to Max and Carol (Schloemer) on September 4, 1974. He was a graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1993. He was employed by the City of Princeton. He married his love, Teresa (Beck) Gierhart on October 15, 2022. He was a long-standing, proud member of the Princeton Moose Lodge #1139 since November 26, 2012. He became a member of Moose Legion 112 and 57 in February 2021. He loved the Moose and his roles as an officer throughout the years. He served the Princeton Lodge as a Trustee, Prelate, Junior Governor twice, Governor and was presently serving his second term as President. He enjoyed the many activities, programs, conventions, celebrations and volunteering his time at the lodge. Troy enjoyed camping with Teresa in their camper and their "camping family". He enjoyed cooking and smoking all types of food. Past times included fishing, throwing bags, sitting around a campfire, breakfast and coffee. His true love was being around his family and his extended families. Troy was also proud of the fact that he was not only a Husband, but also became a bonus Father and Grandfather, all on the same glorious day. Surviving Troy, his wife Teresa Lauritzen of Princeton, IL, his father, Max and Carol Lauritzen of Princeton; siblings, David (Dianna) Lauritzen of Phoenix, MD, Kathy (Steve) Snow of Princeton, IL, Angie (David) Bohm of Belle Fourche, SD and Kenny (Anne) Lauritzen of Walnut, IL; bonus daughters, Megan Gierhart of Rock Falls, IL, Sarah Gierhart of Dixon, IL and a bonus grandson, Zyhaire; nieces and nephews, Ashley (Eric) Bickett of Princeton, IL, Dalton Bohm of Bella Fourche, SD and Brandon Lauritzen of Chandler, AZ. Preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. The family will receive guest from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday October 30, 2022 at the Moose Lodge in Princeton, IL. Service officiated by Evan Hultine starting at 3:00 p.m. concluding with the Moose Tribute of Service. Cremation rites accorded.
