Georgetown, GA – Anthony “Tony” Lee Saal, 50, formerly of Princeton, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. Tony was born on July 30, 1968 to Gerald and Connie (Wilson) Saal at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, IL. He was a graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1986. He spent some time in the US Marines before being honorably discharged. He was a graduate of Bradley University with a Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineer. He worked for Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Prince Castle, John Deere and Humminbird, where he developed his love of travel. He loved a good joke and was just a fun guy to hang around. He loved to travel, his job took him all over the world, including Germany, India, Brazil, Europe and Jamaica. He enjoyed taking cruises and found himself a true Chicago fan when it came to sports. He loved watching football. He enjoyed eating pizza from the Pizza Cellar, watching a good movie, or watching Saturday Night Live. He was known as quite the prankster and was someone that just loved to laugh and have fun. He loved his dog Cooper. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Tony is survived by his parents, Jerry and Connie Saal; one son, Zachary Skaggs; one daughter, Rachel Saal; one sister, Angela (Dave) Bader; three nephews, Cody, Colton and Cole Bader; a special friend, Sonja Miller. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Gladys Saal; maternal grandparents, Charles and Marian Wilson.
