Obituary for Armenta June Smith Armenta June Smith, 60, of Princeton, passed away in her home April 19, 2007. She was born June 24, 1946 in Bloomington, the daughter of Harvey and Armenta Dorff. June married William”Chaz” Smith on November 5, 1966 in Princeton. June worked as a beautician for 41 yrs. She also owned and operated June’s Hairshack and worked as a housekeeper for Perry Memorial Hospital. June graduated from Bradford Township High School in 1964 and from Twinkle’s School of Beauty Culture in Kewanee on February 26, 1965. June was an active member Boyds Grove Methodist Church in her early years. June enjoyed her yard, flower gardens, and bird watching. She especially enjoyed her family; they were the most important thing to her. June is survived by her husband of 40 years William “Chaz” Smith of Princeton. Also surviving are their children: Bill (Melissa) Smith of Princeton and Shelly (Scott) Simon of Naperville. Surviving as well are grandchildren, Jacob and Paige Smith and Maia Simon. Two brothers, Jim and Dave Dorff, also survive. Funeral services for June will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 10:00 am in the First Baptist Church, Princeton. Visitation will be Monday evening April 23, 2007 from 6-8pm at Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton. Interment will follow services at Mounds Cemetery, Milo Township. Memorials may be directed to Bloomington Baby Fold, 108 East willow St., P.O.Box 327, Normal Il, 61761. Norberg Memorial Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
