Barbara Kay Pantenburg

Princeton – Barbara Kay (Carroll) Pantenburg of Princeton, IL passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL, surrounded by loved ones. Barbara was born in Princeton, IL on May 13, 1943 to the late Edmond and Codie (Olson) Carroll. She was raised in Princeton, and later moved to Ladd, IL where she was well known as a Girl Scout Leader and neighborhood babysitter. Barbara later moved to Granville, IL, and worked as a CNA at St. Margaret's Hospital and retired from the Illinois Veterans Home of LaSalle. Barbara was compassionate and always had a smile. Her outward beauty was so greatly enhanced by her beautiful spirit. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Laura Moyle of Princeton, IL and Brenda (Mario) Morrell of Bloomington, IL; four grandchildren, Adam (Chrissy Guisti) Trillet, Raysha (Zach Schmidt) McQuilkin, Hilary Moyle, Ben Moyle; eight great grandchildren, Allison, Julie, Addison, Isabela, Jaxson, Azalea, Leonidas and Olivia; and one sister, JoAnn (David) Carlson of East Alton, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Codie Carroll and brother, Dennis Carroll. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Judes. A visitation will be held for Barbara at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Services will be held on November 20, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Laura Root-Tanner, followed by graveside services at Oakland Cemetery in Princeton, IL.
