Bernard N. Morton 1934-2007 Funeral service for Bernard N. Morton, age 73 of Princeton, will be Friday, Sep 14, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Rev. Barbara Ollila will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sep 13, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Mr. Morton passed away on Monday, Sep 10, 2007 in his home at 22905 1500 N. Ave. Princeton. He was born on Jun 11, 1934 in Princeton, Illinois to Melvin and Mabel (Tragordh) Morton. Bernard graduated from Princeton High School in 1954 and was an excellent football player. Along with Donald Morton he founded Morton Fertilizer of Wyanet in 1953 and operated that company to the present. He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Princeton. Bernard also enjoyed photography and was an avid toy train enthusiast. Bernard is survived by his son Steven(Tabetha)Morton of Princeton, his brother Donald(Emily)Morton of Princeton, one granddaughter Ava Morton at home, one nephew Gary(Quinta)Morton of Princeton and one niece Pamela (Michael) Whiteford of Bradley, Il. Also surviving are thre step children: Rose Storm, Julie rhodes, and Sean Baron. Memorials may be directed to the First Lutheran Church of Princeton or to donor's choice.
