Bonnie J. Genslinger 1929-2007 Funeral service for Bonnie J. Genslinger, age 77 of Malden, will be Saturday, Nov 24, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Pastor Ron Petersen and Rev. Jon Ollinger will officiate. Burial will follow in the Malden Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov 23, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Mrs. Genslinger passed away on Monday, Nov 19, 2007 at her home in Malden. She was born on Dec 20, 1929 in Kankakee, Illinois to Harold and Anna (Thies) Grabill. She married Neil A. (Bub)Genslinger on Sept. 16, 1949 in Malden, IL. She was a secretary for several years at Malden State Bank and Malden Co-op. she also volunteered at Malden Grade School. She was an active member of the Malden Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Neil Genslinger of Malden. Also surviving is her son Michael (Marsha) Genslinger of Princeton, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Surviving as well is one sister Verla (Ray) Huffaker of Malden. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters, and two great nieces. Memorials may be directed to Malden Grade School Memorial Fund to create a yearly award.
