Donald W. Grabill 1921-2008 Funeral service for Donald W. Grabill, age 86 of Princeton, will be Saturday, Mar 08, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Pastor Doug Kirkpatrick will officiate. Burial will follow in the Elm Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, Mar 07, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Mr. Donald passed away on Monday, Mar 03, 2008 at Perry Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 01, 1921 in Dover, Illinois to Donald and Celia (Wilson) Grabill. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Elsie Bundy on Oct. 3, 1943. She preceded him in death in 1995. He owned and operated Grabill Trucking. He was a member of American Legion Post #125, Princeton VFW, and Bureau County Racing Association. He is survived by two daughters: Cathy (James) Mecum of Buda and Susan Grabill of Princeton and one son Bruce (Kathy) Grabill of TX., 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers: Charles Wright of Zearing, Max Wright of Malden, and Ferris Wright of Malden. Surviving as well are two sisters: Doloris Karns of Zearing and Ruth Karns of Princeton. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son David Grabill in 1987, and one great grandchild Aiden John Fischer. Memorials may be directed to the Bureau County Fair and Speedway.
