Eldon Richards 1926-2016 Funeral service for Eldon Richards, age 89 of Princeton, will be Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Princeton. Rev. Derek C. Boggs will officiate. Private burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery on Mar 12, 2016. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Mar 12, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church. Eldon Richards passed away on Monday, March 07, 2016 at Perry Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 03, 1926 in Princeton, IL to Fayette and Pearle (Johnson) Richards. He married Jeanne Miller on October 14, 1950. Eldon farmed most of his life until retirement in 1993. He served on the Wyanet High School Board and was a Wyanet Township Trustee. He also served on the Bureau County School Board. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading. Eldon and his wife Jeanne were members of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Surviving are his wife Jeanne and their children; Mrs. Debbie (Gary) Grady of Princeton, Mrs. Patricia (Dale) Mitchell of Camdenton, Missouri, Rusty (Martha) Richards of Columbus, Indiana, Ms. Linda Schuh of Chatham, Illinois, Mrs. Lorilee (Pete) Cadwell of Roscoe, Illinois, and Randy (Jodi) Richards of Genoa, Illinois; 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 1 brother, Harold Richards of Princeton. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert; one granddaughter, Michelle Rabe; one brother and one sister.
