Princeton - Gregg Allan Fisher, 62, passed away on Thursday June 16, 2022 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO surrounded by his loving family. Gregg was born in Princeton, IL on August 10, 1959 to Roland and Carol (Rheeling) Fisher. He was a graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1977. He married Susan (Genslinger) Fisher on January 20, 1990 in Ormond Beach, FL. They settled in Princeton and raised their family. He worked for the City of Princeton for 42 years in the utilities Department before retirement. He loved NASCAR and his favorite driver was Bill Elliott, until he retired, then he followed Chase Elliott. He even raced at the Princeton Speedway, car number 14. He enjoyed doing yard work and having a cup of coffee every morning while sitting on the front porch with his 5 trusted companions, Maxx, Tito, Pip, Abner and Augustus. Gregg loved his time with family and especially loved giving his grandsons rides around the yard on his tractor or 4-wheeler. He loved tinkering with old cars, and even rebuilt a Triumph TR6. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix. He loved to grill and just hang out at home. His home, garage, and yard were his favorite places to be. He enjoyed the tastes of his hometown, enjoying an occasional Chocolate Boston Shake from Tastee Freeze (Grandma Rosies) or a pizza from his all-time favorite pizza place, The Pizza Cellar. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Susan Fisher of Princeton; two sons, Seth (Whitney) Fisher and Reed Fisher both of Princeton; two grandsons, Seth and Chase; step-mother, Carol Fisher of Princeton; Father- in-law, Richard Genslinger; two brothers, Michael (Beverly) Fisher of Laguna Niguel, CA and Gary (Cheryl) Fisher of Orange City, FL; one step-sister, Rita (Todd) Poruba; one step-brother, Rodney (Tammy) Kastor; two sisters-in-law, Gay (Mike) Uttenhove, Lisa (Tim) Bruch; three brothers-in-law, Gary (Laurie) Genslinger, Danny (Donna) Genslinger, Darren (Brandy) Genslinger; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal and paternal grandparents, his mother in law, Joyce Genslinger, and a step brother Roy Kastor.
