Princeton - Laurene A Evans, 88, of Princeton, IL passed away at OSF St. Francis on Monday, September 6, 2021. Laurene was born in Peru, IL. on April 8, 1933 to the late Frank and Violet (Dornbusch) Kehlenbach. She married the late Henry "Hank" McFadden on August 22, 1953 at St. Joseph's Church in Peru, IL. He passed on February 27, 1998. She later remarried, on February 19, 2005 to the late William Evans who passed on December 28, 2009. She was a graduate of LP High School, Class of 1951 and attended St. Francis Nursing School in Evanston, IL, until 1953. She was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church, St. Louis CCW, The Princeton Moose Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary. She was also actively involved in Boy Scouts of America for 15 plus years, receiving the Silver Fawn Award and the Saint George Award. Laurene is survived by one daughter-in-law, Phyllis McFadden of Fairfield, CA; three grandsons, Kyle, Ryan and Kevin McFadden. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Violet Kehlenbach, her first husband, Hank McFadden, her second husband William Evans, two sons, Frank McFadden and James McFadden; one sister Verl Jean Sabas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton, IL. or EWTM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:00 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton, IL, officiated by Monsignor James Kruse. A graveside services will be held at St. Josephs Cemetery in Webster Park, IL. following the Mass.
