Princeton – Ray K. Shipp “Shippy” passed away on April 12, 2018 at his home. Ray was born on March 7, 1941 to George and Velma (Anderson) Shipp in Princeton, Illinois. He married Geneveive (Bland) Shipp on March 24, 1962 and together they raised 4 children. He later married Marjo Norberg on November 3, 2001, and enjoyed their life together with her 5 daughters. She preceded him in death on April 6, 2016. He worked as a truck driver for most of his life and worked at Princeton Redi-Mix for many years until retiring. He was a member of the Princeton Moose Lodge and enjoyed stock car racing, spending time with family and friends and solving the world problems with his buddies at the Coffee Cup. Ray is survived by his children; Jeffrey (Nancy) Bland, Timothy (Susan) Bland, Veronica (Terry) Kroze, Lisa (Doug) Louden, DeeAnna (Lester) Fries, Rhonda (James) DeBeck, Jolene (Richard) Carr, Jodene(Mark) Norberg, Melony (Jeff) Gallegos and several grandchildren and great-grand children He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Marjo Shipp, and his siblings; Geraldine Neuhalfen, Kenneth Shipp, Clayton Shipp, Carl “Okie” Nelson. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Gene Vincent of Ohio First Lutheran Church. Burial to follow at Mount Bloom Cemetery in Tiskilwa, Il. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc.
