Thomas Richard Bickett 1932-2007 Funeral service for Thomas Richard Bickett, age 75 of Princeton, will be Monday, Aug 13, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Pastor Paul Nolden and Pastor Ron Petersen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Elm Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Aug 12, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Mr. Bickett passed away on Wednesday, Aug 08, 2007 at Saint Anthony's Rockford after complications from heart surgery. He was born on Mar 11, 1932 in Milo Township, Illinois to Nathaniel and Alice (Tyne) Bickett. He graduated from Ohio High School in 1950. He married Helen Spratt on January 30, 1954 in the First Christian Church of Princeton, during a snowstorm. Dick was a local area farmer all his life. He was an active member of Malden United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Elks, Moose Lodge, Malden Vets Club, Farm Bureau, and President of the Malden Conservation Club. Mr. Bickett is survived by his wife, Helen Bickett of Princeton and his children; Kelly (Fred Kimberley Jr.) Bickett of Malden, Kim (Debbie) Bickett of Princeton, Kris Ferrari of Princeton and Kani Bopes of Princeton. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Mason, Vaughn, Zia, Tyler, Kyle, Larissa, Alison, Lauren and Zachary, and 1 great grandchild Garrett Baumgartner. Also surviving are 2 sisters Carolyn Howard and Mary Hooper and 2 brothers Kenneth and Floyd Bickett. He was preceded in death by his parents 1 sister and 1 brother. Memorials may be directed to the Malden Vets club and the Malden Conservation Club.
