Anna Mae Peterson

Wyanet - Anna Mae Peterson passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Courtyard Estates in Galva IL. Anna Mae was born on July 6, 1922, in Manlius IL to the late Henry and Matilda (Kelm) Hochstatter. She graduated from Manlius High School, Class of 1939. She married Ronald Peterson on December 27, 1941, in Manlius, he passed in 2003. She was a devoted farmer's wife, including maintaining the big farmhouse, doing all the cooking, taking care of the children during the men's workday, raising chickens, helping sort and load hogs for market and so much more as required. She never missed her children's events whether they were school, 4-H, church, or community. As her life slowed down, the Cubs, the Bears, and doing crossword puzzles were her favorite pass times. Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Matilda Hochstatter, granddaughter Courtney Wallace, siblings Russell, Helen, Angie, Roger, Ronald, Marge, Robert, and foster sister Pearl. She is survived by her children Ron (Sandi) Peterson of Germantown Hills IL, Larry (Chris) Peterson of Bath IL and Diane (Ron) Wallace of Galva IL; grandchildren Jenera (Paul) Call, Dr. Justin (Krissy) Peterson, Josh (Sonja) Peterson, Lucas (Jordan) Peterson, Dr. Andy (Dr. Hayley Ralph) Peterson and Whitney (Caleb) Hatcher; great grandchildren, Brittany (Cole) Call-Craft, Brady Call, Brant (Kimberly) Call, Ian, Rhys, Quinn, Cam, Ty, Eila, Ayla, Della, Theo Peterson, Hewitt and Holden Hatcher; as well as great-great grandchildren, Cash, Josie and June Craft.
