Kathleen Anne Waca

Princeton - Kathleen Anne Waca, 73, of Princeton, IL passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born in Princeton, IL to the late Carl and Patricia (Landers) Hultine on October 26, 1948. She was a graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1966. She married the love of her life, Charles A Waca at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton on August 14, 1971. Kathy and Charlie had recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. Kathy worked many years at Citizens First National Bank in a variety of departments. Later she worked at the Bureau County Clerk's Office in the Courthouse from 1986 until retiring in 2014. In retirement Kathy worked part time at Bruce Jewelers in Princeton. She was an avid member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church where she took part in the Church Council, annual Spaghetti Supper, Puppet Ministry, Choir, Bell Choir, and was the softball team's #1 fan. She also was a member of the Bureau County Chorus. Kathy's grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved their company and watching them in all of their activities. Kathy cherished her whole family and loved the time spent together, especially vacations and holiday gatherings. She is survived by her husband, Charles Waca of Princeton; children, Chris (Jenifer) Waca of Princeton, Eric (Rachel) Waca of Princeton and Jennifer (Corey) Bacorn of Princeton; nine grandchildren, Aubree, Lincoln and Leland Waca, Avery, Alexandra and Brecken Waca, and Marissa, Noah and Ethan Bacorn; one great grandson, Duke Bacorn; one brother Jim (Cindy) Hultine of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; a brother-in-law, Edward Waca of Tiskilwa, IL; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and so many cousins who will all greatly miss her. Preceded in death by her parents Carl and Patricia Hultine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton, IL. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc & Monuments. Services for Kathleen will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Church Lutheran on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Scott Schmidt.
