Timothy "Tim" R Bauer

Princeton - Timothy “Tim” Roy Bauer, 61, of Princeton, IL passed away at Heritage Health Nursing Home in Mendota, IL on January 31, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. Tim was born on June 16, 1957 in Mendota, Illinois to the late Francis and Norma (Johnson) Bauer. He was a graduate of Mendota High School Class of 1975. He was also a graduate of Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK in 1976. Tim married Kathleen Schultz Costerisan on June 20, 2015 in Princeton, Illinois. He owned Lindenwood Aviation & Rochelle Aviation and was self-employed doing maintenance and inspections of single engine aircraft. He did engine overhauls and restoration of classic fabric covered aircraft. He also worked with his brother Tom as a contractor, a cabinet builder, electrician, plumber and industrial paint contractor. Tim was a member of Warbirds Squadron 4 as Adjutant, Bureau County Fair Director and he was a licensed pilot. He was also a member of Experimental Aircraft Association for over 40 years. He enjoyed flying, Facebooking, attending EAA Air Venture Airshow in Oshkosh as well as volunteering in the Warbirds Camping area. He loved watching Fox News and was always open for a good political discussion. Tim enjoyed gardening, canning and working with his horses. He loved attending fair events and researching all kinds of interesting information on google. Tim is survived by his wife Kathy Bauer of Princeton, one brother, Tom (Denise) Bauer of Mendota; one sister, Susan (Dennis) McConville of Peru; one nephew, Troy (Gloria Espinoza) Bauer, Mendota; two nieces, Emily (Ted) Leffelman of Mendota and Angela (Brent) Kalsto of Peru; three great nephews, Drew and Collin Kalsto and Jack Leffelman; one great niece Jolee Leffelman; two brother in laws Mark (Deb) Schultz and Karl (Beth) Schultz, both of Princeton; one sister in law, Sarah Waggoner of Loveland, CO; and nieces and nephews, his four horses, Twinkle Toes, Blue, Sierra and Allie. He was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Norma Bauer; one stepdaughter, Heidi Tintori. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to, The Bureau County Fair or Cops 4 Cancer. The family will receive family and friends for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, IL. Services for Tim will be held at Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, IL, on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Angie McClane of First Presbyterian Church, Princeton, IL and Pastor Eldon Cook of Walnut Community Bible Church, Walnut, IL.
