Reviews & Testimonials

We receive many letters from the families we've served, thanking us for our caring ways during their time of loss. Their words warm our hearts, and speak to you of our professionalism, compassion, and the true value of the services we provide.

I can't say enough great things about Norberg Memorial Home and how they helped us through the very difficult loss of my wife's mother in January 2019. My mother-in-law had lived in Princeton since 1962, and it was her world. My wife and her two siblings, however, had scattered to Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Texas, so trying to make funeral arrangements wasn't easy. Janice and JD were great. They understood how long distance made a difficult, stressful situation even more difficult, and they knew just what to do to help: - My mother-in-law had not been attached to a local church for many years and so did not have a local Pastor to conduct her service. Janice knew just who to call (Deacon John Murphy), and he did a fantastic job. - Since my mother-in-law had moved out of her home three years earlier and was not connected with a church, we needed a place to hold a gathering. Janice provided us with several choices, and Ye Olde Underground Inn did a fantastic job on short notice. - The day we needed to have the funeral so family could attend also turned out to be the day of the largest snowstorm of the year to date. Janice and JD worked with the City of Princeton to get the cemetery roads plowed of snow, and the cemetery crew to open the grave and set up the graveside service despite the inclement weather. All went just as planned. - Norberg even made arrangements with the Princeton Police Department to have the funeral procession drive past my mother-in-law's home of more than 50 years. While she had not lived there for the last three years, it was the only home my wife and her siblings knew growing up. Having the procession detour to drive up that block brought tears to everyone's eyes. That small personal touch says more about how much Norberg cares about its customers and understands their needs than anything else I could say here. Another thing worth mentioning was the tremendous people skills both Janice and JD demonstrated throughout. It can't have been easy dealing with three siblings, each of whom had their own ideas about what Mom would have wanted, and what would make the ideal goodbye for her. Both JD and Janice dealt with all of those issues with care, compassion, and understanding. We cannot imagine a better experience in a difficult time, and we wholeheartedly recommend Norberg Memorial Home without any reservations whatsoever.

My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about Norberg Memorial Home. There was no question where we would have services for our son after he died. JD and staff rose to the occasion. They did everything we asked of them. I would highly recommend Norberg Memorial Home. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to your craft.

My family and I have lost 3 family members in the past 2 1/2 years. JD and Janice went above and beyond to make sure everything went very smooth for us during our time of grief. They spent as much time as it took to write the obits, go over any music we had and what to play and when, to pick the funeral cards, no matter what it took and how long, they genuinely care. Their staff were very pleasant to work with also. I will tell anyone who has lost a loved one to go to Norberg Memorial Home. Not only are they professional in their job but they're such personable and caring people.
